ICCS Campus Remembers MLK at April 4th Mass

In recognition of the 50th anniversary of Dr. Martin Luther King's assassination, ICCS students, faculty, families, and guests joined together to celebrate Mass in the Cathedral on Wednesday, April 4th.  Cathedral Pastor Fr. Robert W. Marshall, Jr. and former Cathedral Pastor Msgr. Thomas Kirk -- an active Memphis civil rights proponent at the time of Dr. King's death -- served as the celebrants. Fr. Marshall read a reflection from Diocese of Memphis Bishop Martin D. Holley, D.D., who was unable to attend due to the death of his brother, and students representing all sections of the school read intentions focused on Dr. King's dreams of social justice and preserving the dignity of all people.
