ICCS Juniors Selected to Receive Remmert Scholarship

ICCS juniors Olivia Stonecipher and Lisbeth Morales are recipients of the Herman Albert and Bernice Agnes Remmert Scholarship Award for the 2018-2019 academic year. Recipients of the $1700 award are rising junior or seniors with career plans in government, business, science, art or engineering, and are selected based on their GPA, essay, and school recommendation.

Lisbeth, who plans a career in engineering, has attended the Naval Academy STEM Program and Christian Brothers University's summer program for women engineers. A natural leader and outstanding student, Olivia has continually enrolled in the most rigorous AP and Honors courses at ICCS and currently holds a 4.3 GPA.   She is a member of the National Honor Society, founding member and president of the Spanish Club, and a Knowledge Bowl team member. As a Student Ambassador, she assists with Preview Days, Shadow Student visits, the Mardi Gras Dinner Auction, and other school events and projects.  Her service work includes the Cathedral parish's Room in the Inn and being a peer tutor for ICCS students.
