ICCS Sophomore Named NAACP Teenager of the Year

ICCS Sophomore Nile Williams has been named Teenager of the Year by the Memphis Branch of the NAACP.  Sponsored by St. Augustine Catholic Church, Nile was selected from a group of 15 Memphis high school students and announced as the 2018 award recipient at the 40th annual Teenager of the Year Coronation held in Downtown Memphis on Dec. 14.  The 15 church-sponsored participants were chosen for the program based on moral character, community service, and recruitment of new NAACP members. Prior to the coronation, the teens visited several Memphis historic landmarks and performed community service for the Midsouth Food Bank.
